History

The Divine Church of God USA was inspired by God, as a group of dedicated Christians gathered in one accord and declared to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit. After seeking God in prayer and gaining sound consultation with the Assistant Overseer of the Divine Churches of God, we became part of a body of churches with headquarters in Kingston, Jamaica. After several weeks of home based meetings, the Lord opened for us a venue in the Bronx to be used in His service. Our Lord has taken us through many changes over the years. Today, we stand as a haven in a community in need of a Saviour and will continue to share the love and power of Jesus Christ to all who will call on His name.

Statement of Faith

We believe in one God, our Father, the Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, of all that is visible and invisible.
We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only begotten of the Father, The Word, in union with the Father before the world began. In Him, and through Him, all things were created and have their being. For our salvation, He came down from heaven. By the power of the Holy Spirit, He was born of the Virgin Mary, became flesh, and dwelt among us. For our redemption, He was crucified under Pontius Pilate; He suffered,
died, and was buried. On the third day, He rose victorious in accordance with the Scriptures. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the quick and the dead, and of His kingdom, there shall be no end. We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the Source of all life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son. With the Father and the Son, He is worshiped and glorified. We believe in one holy and universal Church. We believe in one baptism for the forgiveness of sins. We look forward to the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come
